MELCCFP and Tam-Tam\TBWA launch a campaign on EV charging

11/9/2024

The ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP) has unveiled a new communication campaign on Quebec’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Strategy.

Developed by Tam-Tam\TBWA, the campaign highlights the fact that an increasing number of charging stations will be in operation by 2030 to support the exponential growth of electric vehicles and the charging needs of their drivers in the short and long terms.

By 2030, the strategy will boost the number of public charging stations to 116,000.

For Pauline Boissinot, Communications Director at MELCCFP, “Access to charging stations and battery range are the leading barriers to electric vehicle adoption. However, these perceptions correspond less and less with the reality in the field and the charging station network. In fact, the number of charging stations is growing in an efficient and coordinated way to meet the current and future needs of electric vehicle drivers, and that’s the message we’re promoting this fall.”
As for Tam-Tam\TBWA, Simon Grégoire, Creative Lead, reminds us that: “A few years ago, driving across Quebec in an electric vehicle was considered a challenge. People even made podcasts and TV series about it. But today, it’s commonplace. We don’t just use electric vehicles to get to work, go shopping, or visit family—we take them on road trips to see the sights. It’s simple: the charging station network allows you to get anywhere.”

The campaign will roll out September 9 on TV, OLV and digital platforms.
